Esther represents companies, other law firms, industry associations and healthcare institutions with all competition law, consumer law and compliance matters. She started as a lawyer in 1998 after studying at Erasmus University Rotterdam. She was first a lawyer in corporate and commercial law, and built up her current antitrust practice from there. As a result, she has a deep understanding of how businesses and markets work.
Esther has specific knowledge of the following sectors: retail, agri and healthcare.

Esther van Aalst has registered the following principal (and secondary) legal practice areas
in the Netherlands Bar’s register of legal practice areas (rechtsgebiedenregister):

– Corporate law: Mergers and acquisitions, Distribution and Agency Agreements
– Civil procedural law: Litigation and Arbitration
Based on this registration, she is required to obtain ten training credits per calendar year in
each registered principal legal practice area in accordance with the standards set by the
Netherlands Bar.
